Once you've chosen your movement (posture) and its subjective classification, you can begin creating the image dataset.
In this guide, you will…
- Take pictures
- Resize pictures into smaller sizes
- Annotate them
- Upload them to Soyun’s drive for creating a collective data mosaic wall.
1. Taking pictures
- Take pictures that capture the entire body performing your movement. Use diverse bodies in your photos so the model doesn't fixate on a single body type.
The more photos you have, the better your detection model will be. However, for this workshop, we'll create 10–15 images to understand the data annotation process.

- Once you've taken the photos, collect them in one folder and name them with incrementing numbers.

2. Resize pictures into smaller sizes
-
Go to https://www.birme.net/.
-
upload your photos, resize the width to 512px. Check Auto height. Then Download a ZIP.
